But I've noticed that China has been reporting a lot about the crisis Egypt - Chinese television news often has the events in Egypt as the top story and reports them first in the news.
It is a pity the lack of press freedoms in China despite article 35 of the PRC's constitution which "citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession, and of demonstration" (http://english.gov.cn/2005-08/05/content_20813.htm) But the situation is improving, unlike Israel where they are talking about an Anti-Incitement Bill which "criminalises those who publish anything that denies Israel's Jewish and democratic character".
