As predicted, Putin would win half the majortiy of votes in Sundays election. He supposdly received more votes in Chenchya than in Moscow. If Putin was able to carry more votes in regions other than Moscow, the protests in the last few months may have resonated in many Muscovites to queitly back other political candiadates. Although it lead to no results in the polls.
