Broken Government? Your Job: Fix it

Mike Adams, the creator of the above cartoon, thinks things are bad at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA):"Of all the cartoons we've ever done on the FDA, this is the one that people seem to like the best."
It addresses the issue of FDA conflicts of interest. The Food and Drug Administration, an agency that suffers under the hallucination that it protects the public from dangerous foods and drugs, has actually become the marketing department of Big Pharma. It actually takes money from drug companies in exchange for evaluating and approving their drugs, and the decisions concerning which drugs to approve almost always come down to a panel of "experts" who have strong financial ties to the very companies impacted by their decisions.''

Well, if it's "Broken Government" then it's your job to fix it.

Before you start with your poster/policy pitch assignment due Tuesday, consider this article from US History.org

(take note or the merit system and bureaucratic accountability).
EPA Chief (from last year): Enviroment should be above partisanship. Do you agree? Also, would Richard Nixon (before Watergate) make it in the current GOP. Afterall, it was his administration that created the EPA in 1970.

The FCC would like to provide post-distaster communication for when families need to let others know that they are safe and to allow them to communicate their need for materials like food and water. Often after disasters power lines can be damaged, leaving victims incapable of communicating with their loved ones. We would like funding sufficient enough to let us bring extra phones or batteries to the victims of disaster so they can find ways to reach out to their families. We are asking for $50 million for initial startup, and emergency funds as needed.

The Federal Communications Commissions would simply like to ask for our usual funding in order to keep in operation so that we can simply just keep operations up. In order for us to regulate what is said and communications on television and radio and keep fining people for useless things that really have noting to do with anything. So for us to keep doing this we will be requiring a sum total of $370 million just like last year. Remember it is our goal to protect people from profane and obscure images and other sorts, for the future of America to prosper. Also, in order for us to not shut down this blog, it would be a good idea to pay up.

The policy that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives would like to implement is the creation of a national gun registry. It is the mission of the ATF to keep the public safe, and firearms can be a dangerous threat to society. A national gun registry would keep tabs on all guns legally owned by U.S. citizens. It is important to have a record of all gun owners for public safety because there have been many senseless shootings recently. If someone is diagnosed with a mental disease and shouldn't be is possession of a firearm, a national gun registry would be an easy way to look up their information and see if they own a gun. It would also be helpful for police investigations to research if a suspect is a gun owner. We require $500 Million to start this database.
